Call for artists-- South Logan Arts Coalition Residency Program

SLAC has a new pop-up studio in Logan Square! We are accepting proposals until January 15th. Check it out:

The South Logan Arts Coalition is currently accepting proposals for a group studio located on the 3000 W. block of Armitage. The total space is 1000 sq. ft. which can be split between 3 or 4 artists. The length of the residency is one year, March 1st 2014 to March 1st 2015.
Cost per artist: $200 to 266 a month, plus utilities and a refundable security deposit of $100 to 133 each.

The SLAC Residency Program supports exceptional emerging and mid-career artists by providing a subsidized local studio that can be integrated into the artist’s daily life. The program is open to artists working in 2D and 3D mediums (e.g. painting, drawing, photography, sculpture). SLAC will carefully select a group of three to four individual artists to occupy the space, or one group proposal which includes three to four participants. SLACwill arrange and promote a group show and studio visits with established artists and curators. Custom walls, lighting, and other improvements will be built according to your space needs.
To apply, please send us your CV (as a pdf), artist statement (pdf), 10 images (jpeg format, no larger than 2MB), proof of address, and tell us about your space needs or how you plan to use the space (limit 150 words).
Please put "[Your Last Name] Proposal" in the subject line of the email.

Deadline: January 15th, 2014.
